Finally getting some hot weather on Vancouver Island. Had something happen that never happened before, and I am guessing it was the heat.
My was sitting out in the sun all day. I clicked the fob to open the tonneau cover and it opened all the way Seems to make sense this is how it should be all the time. Don't know why you need to lift it each time, maybe otherwise it would be too hard to close?
Haven't been able to duplicate it again but have been enjoying the nice weather; top down.

Does anyone know if there is an adjustment for this besides leaving it out in the sun?
replace the struts with LST struts...many of us have done this do a search for LST, there is a lot of info on the retrofit hood struts as well as the deck lid struts

You can also contact your Chevrolet service department, and ask that the struts and hinge assembly be replaced under warranty (mine were). Look for strut replacement under the search feature, and write down the TSB number to take to your dealer. Good luck!
Thanks for the great advice. Will try to get it fixed under warranty. If not, LST sounds like the answer. If I am really lucky, I will get the dealer to replace with LST under warranty.
Thanks again for the advice, this is a great site.

Reason: spelling
Mine normally pops fully open but occasionally doesn't . At times it seems like the angle(level or uphill/downhill) of the SSr when parked effects this.
I had my struts and hinges changed under warranty. The lid now pops up all the way. The lid closes easily.
I looked at some SSR's with the LST struts and found that they work very well also. One draw back with the LST struts is that its a lot harder to close the lid (harder to push down).
I'm glad that I waited and went with the Chevy fix.
Took the dealer about 2 weeks to get parts once they figured out the TSB was valid.
Got it back in a couple of hours........her cover opens wide and tall now!
It's like a new "trick" as you walk up and push that button. Tech's said it was a "no-brainer" and the parts guy apologized for taking so long to get them in.
