I presently have three on the road ( 2 yellow, 1 black)all 05's built within 10 days of each other and a forth that I own but don't own yet if that makes any sense. Not home, not titled but paid for. Very long story.
The two yellow are on the east coast for now. One had 14,000 miles and the other a bit over 7,000. Only minor dealer issues.
The black one is a different story. When purchased it had less than 100 miles but looked like it had been in a war. Hood needs to be replaces along with the fron fascia. Rear deck needs work along with one of the running boards. Interior is also in need of work. All will be taken care of. When truck finally hits the street in late spring, early summer it will be black and white. The interior will also sport alot of white. Retro 50's look.
So in answer to the question, I have done my part to help GM and may not be done yet. My son is looking into getting one.
The absolute best comment that I ever had was when an older gentleman rolled down
his window (my top was down) & said "I was just telling my wife that, that is the best looking car ever built. And that says a lot, coming from me, cause I'm a Ford dealer."
I was nearly speechless; thanked him & drove on.
Priceless!!!!!

I totally agree with Focks' and Mike in AZ comments. The only thing keeping me from buying another right now is that I already have 3 cars and only a 3 car garage. Maybe Mike in AZ would let me keep #4 at his place since he is looking for another???
1. I "lost" my credit card....My wife said don't worry about it(I think she has it)
2. My wife has put a warning posters at all chevy dealers.....It states that if any saleperson sells me another SSR they(the sale person) will be shot on sight
3. If I come home with another SSR....I will have to live in it......
4. If i come home with another SSR... my mother in law will move in....no way
5. if I come home with another SSR ...who is going pay for my funeral....
one more...she said I would a better chance of living, bring home three Hooters girls, than bring home another SSR
My SSR: 06 Black/Silver SSR born date 10/13/05 Vin #122490 Lowered and computer tune
I would have to say NO. I had a hard time talking my wife into buying this one already. A second would cross that line and plus I could not afford a used one right now.
My SSR: Aqua Blur '05,#18006, Diablo Preditor, K&N, Spoiler,

My SSR: 2006 Pacific Blue Donnie/2004 Redline Red Sheri
We have 2 SSR's. It's a lot of fun because everyone says oh, look there they have his & hers, I say hers & his, people just laugh! I am a woman, use this technique!
Sheri aka Lil'Red
Donnie aka TurboSSR Twins in Stoneville Then Some
My SSR: U.V. with "flame" rally stripes, loaded incl. spare tire, CORSA Sport, MPD boards, Wester's tune
would I buy another SSR?
definitely yes, but with a twist. I wouldn't keep it at home. I would leave it in Arizona. That way we wouldn't have such a long drive (not that the driving is bad, just takes a lot of days) and could attend a lot more get-togethers And maybe a third one on the east coast. Get the idea? Now of course money is the one thing that brings my plan to a screaching halt. But someday because that's the biggest thing about driving an SSR - it's the getting together with all of youz Wayne wants the second one to be
My SSR: Red 2004, California Speedway Parade Lap Car for #88 Dale Jarrett. Vin # 11,638
Absolutely Yes
I love my SSR, but another one would be great. The SSR has so many different uses and is great at so many things that it could serve the purpose of many vehicles.
I like the idea of having them located all over the country, but would probably start with two in southern California, with one for each end of my train commute.
Yes, we have had the 2003 for 2 years now with very few problems & my wife uses it as a daily driver. But then again we are an unusual car family in that we havealways driven unusual cars over the years. with the emphisis on DRIVE.
I have a 76 ferrari with over 150k miles!(has to be a record)
My dialy car is a Viper GTS(blue & white), and when I bought my wife the ssr for her birthday she flipped! I really think GM missed the boat on marketing the SSR, They introduced it as a sort of Viper /Prowler type halo car, while the Viper makes a decent daily driver for the hard core, the prowler is a sunday only car. The SSR is like a El camino with a drop top dressed in a street rod body. The first weekend we had it I was at a vintage race & Road atlanta & some guy came up & couldnt believe we were stacking race tires in the bed. "you cant do that!its a show car!" And there in lies the problem. The SSR may look like a toy, but it is really a usable functional vehical. The Prowler?Cute but just a slow toy. Too bad, but hey I like the exclusivity.
I wouldndt worry too much about the parts problem. In the Viper world(although DC is SOOOOOO responsive to its owners, you can pick up the phone & talk to an engineer anytime) we are now having parts issues & the old toolings are being picked up by the club & aftermarket so there is now a good outlook for parts. As people wreck them, the supply increases. Also many of the parts have to come from somewhere, someone found that the rear Viper calipers were the same as an eagle Talon front brake.
Some other cars in the basement: 2003 SSR, 2006 SRT8 Chrysler 300,2003 F250,1997 Viper GTS, 1990 Spec miata race car,1976 Fiat 124 spyder, 1976 308GT4 Ferrari

Reason: moment of clarity
For those of you guys that are having a hard sell for the second SSR, I subscribe to the "It's easier to seek forgiveness than permission" theory..... (sorry ladies)
