I also have the same problem on my laptop and despite all efforts to clear it up, it won't go away. no problem on my PC.

I'm in Flagstaff at Days Inn and I was just checking my emails and I got more then 10 emails from LT. Didn't understand any of it. One are about Thanksgiven and the othe about X-Man.

I have carefully cleaned my computer, run all my spy, anti, progams, which I do each week.
I have not received any pop ups on our site or any other site.

I am going to have my computer, checked, and cleaned by our Club. We belong to the Tampa Bay Computer Club. Service is FREE. Dues $40 bucks a year. They clean, repair all members units for FREE, only have to pay for parts. We have 1300 member, presently.

Over the past two days I ran an anti virus program and retrieved stored back up info, some files are gone but now running smooth again.

In about a week, I will ask people on the list if they feel like their computer is safe and haven't received any more "bad" emails and then I will remove them from the list.

I'm confuse here. I was just checking my sent folder on AOL and I haven't sent anybody on this forum within the last two weeks an email other then two replies to LT which is dated 8/30 (yesterday) so how could anybody have gotten anything from me. Did I lose my identity?

Have now gotten around this little basturd ! ! I did a yahoo scan (FREE for those with a yahoo home page) and identified numerous ADware and one bad a$$ trojan. Used a back door method to get into Microsoft Live One Care and, instead of quarantining them, had them DELETED . . . . downloaded a bunch of service pack security upgrades and . . .

. . . . WHALLA ! ! all problems gone, screen background returns to normal, and puter now runs like a bat outta hell.

I have my own thoughts on this Jeff and most of them include you guys are using AOL's email server since that is the only thing in common between your and LT's email accounts. The rest of us that got emails from you and/or LT (as far as I can tell) do not use AOL in any capacity.

I don't know who got what from whom...not sure anyone was infected by anyone else....but I wanted every one to know that there is definitely a potential problem here.

I edited the first post to now just mention emails.

I now have a Tech Snope Disk that allows me to see everything on my Computer.
I can see Key Codes, Passwords, and any and all System information.
I do not have any type of virus on my Computer.
This Disk is Awesome.

Not sure about their internet service but do know they have free email available and you can still use your old AOL email address with new ISP instead of changing your email address.

Never used them myself...was lucky enough my workplace had an ISP back in the early days
