Arrow New 2014 Corvette Stingray

I thought some of our great Chevy fans on our site would like to see Autoweek's first review of some of the latest and greatest new features the new "AWESOME" C7 Stingray has.

2014 Corvette Stingray review.

Ho Hum.....

HONESTLY----It looks like a re-hashed C-6 for the most part.

Sorry if I'm offending anybody (I love the Vette) But there just doesn't seem to be enough substance to it to match all the hype in past months leading up to its release.

Just ----IMHO

No mention of a convertible in the Car and Driver article. "Removable roof standard on the coupe" is as close as they get.

They also mention the Z06 and ZR1 being a couple years away, and a possible "split window" small block version in the future.

"Gaudy" has always been the complaint from my European buddies. Chevy's still consistent. I like it, but I just can't get past those Camaro rear tail lights. Not sure if any vette will look correct with out actual round ones.

!!!Wait a minute. MIKE, MIKE!! We have an aftermarket part request for the Corvette forum guys!

Looks like one is in the works. If I had to bet they will wait a year to bring it out to get that second bump.

My least favorite iteration of the Vette is the C4, strangely enough I liked it when it was new.

1974, 75, 76 were a disaster. The early C4s with the CRT display were something to stay away from.

I would still take a 1967 small block 4 speed coupe over pretty much anything else.

OK - maybe I'd settle for a 2012 100th Anniversary ZR-1

BTW, they got rid of the handbrake...and went with the push/pull button brake feature.

OH, and the rear still looks like a camaro..... except for the exhaust, that I like.

There are many features of the new vette I like alot, some hidden, some not.

I like the vented rear hatch (hidden)...google it.

The engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes...impressive.

I like the cooling system and the way the car moves air and heat.

REALLY like the carbon fiber hood and roof (do not like how the hood fits though)

I am looking forward to the rag-top option.

The one thing I LOVE about the C4 .... The whole front flips up so you can access the engine, I love my 1978 .... It's a ROYAL pain to work out without scratching the fenders!! It will be nice to see the changes that Chevy made to the Vette

Same thing with my '64 C2...although I cover the fenders....that, and my paint is original and is in DIRE need of being repainted.

If you look at the quantity of changes that were made relative to the C6, it's basically a new car. In my opinion, the changes are far more significant than from C5 to C6.
