No, nothing has to be modifed!!

They cut the old tips at the weld.

They have to expand the Bosal Tip slightly to fit over the exaust pipe, but that is it.

Don't let them expand it to much, it will be sloppy and harder to fit.

I extended them about 1 1/2" beyond the bumper, for looks only.

Maybe a mistake if someone rear ends me. But what to hey!!

Sorry, I'm wrong here.
They flange the tips so that it fits over the pipes. (my tips were slightly used.)

Great Service

I sent Mr Yat an email last Wednesday or Thursday and almost before I could hit the send button, my phone rang and it was Mr. Yat. Well, I received my tips this afternoon and they are already installed. How cool!!!

Thanks Mike for the great service. Now I won't feel so puny when parked between Mike Savini and Redrodder (who both have big bazookas )

Hey Rusty
Congrats on your big bazookas. Carl when are you going to step up to the plate for your transformation or do you like being puny? It isn't painful and you will like the new look and sound.

Mikey

The 5" tips were a GREAT thing to do. I just added a Magnaflow muffler. It's 18" has a LIFETIME guarantee and fits like it was made for the SSR. The sound difference is a suttle DEEP rumble. It is by far not a loud racket. The inside of the cabin sound is wonderful. It has a strong presence, but you can enjoy the Sirius without any interference. On acceleration it's GREAT! The Magnaflow #12288 can be purchased online for about $85 including shipping from Hotexhausts.com

This is the way the "R" was meant to look and sound.

How 'ya feeling Mike?

Your early assistance was deeply appreciated. I am still missing out on that sandwich.

Philip, feeling great, I'm glad the exhaust and tips worked out well. I do feel like a pin cushion with all the blood tests I needed to take and it's amazing I don't glow in the dark with all the x-rays and cat scans I had.

I just added a 22" MagnaFlow to mine on Friday. Your right about the sound! Great outside and very low noise inside. The tips help the outside sound.

And, Mike, I too hope you're feeling okay.

Anticipation....

I received my tips last Tuesday and having them installed tomorrow afternoon, along with a Flowmaster or Magnaflow exhaust. The guy at the shop said he'd bolt up both and I could choose which one I liked the best. Probably have trouble going to sleep tonite

I'll let you know which one I ended up with, but he seems to think I'll like the Flowmaster the best.....we'll see.

I need some quick info, are you guys using two mufflers or a single inlet and dual outlets? I may have something that may work.
