05 Air filter box

Maybe I am just getting slow in my old age, but I do see how the removal of just two bolts ( according to owners manual ) gets one access to replacing the air filter.

This cannot be rocket science. I'm I missing something?

It's easiest to remove the flex hose that goes to the engine first than unscrew the two bolts and tilt the whole thing back towards the engine. lift it up and out. you can do it without taking off the hose but it takes alot of mucleing. good luck!!

I did it without removing the flex hose. It would have been easier to remove the flex hose!

Air Box

After I posted the thread, I went back to the garage and took a second look. What owners manual calls bolts, I call screws. Maybe earkier models had bolts. Also figured out the throttle body hose needed to come off first.

All that figured out, I install my new Green Air Filter in less than 10 minutes.

So much for days you only had to remove one wing nut to change an air filter.
