Question 12 Volt Outlet Caps/Covers on bottom of dash???

Hello again...

My SSR (I'm assuming they all do) has two 12 Volt outlets on each side of the bottom of the dash. They don't have any covers on them; they are wide open. The manual specifically states to keep them covered when not in use. (I really don't care if they are covered...I just want every single thing that my truck was supposed to come with.)

So...does anyone's truck actually have covers over the 12 Volt outlets? If so, could you take a picture or give me the GM part number that should be molded into any such cap?

Thanks everyone!!!!

There is a flip up cover over each of the 2 under dash outlets. If you flip those up ALL the way, it might be easy to think that you don't have them, because they would be somewhat easy to miss.

Nevertheless, you SHOULD have them. If not, ask your dealer to get them for you.

If they are flipped up you may not see them. If not there I would talk to the dealer on this. I see you have an '06. Both of mine have them.

Nope...nothing there on mine.

Anyone have a part number? How do the flip-up covers install??? I just have big silver holes that you put your finger in. No covers flipped up. The dealer is going to be sending me a bunch of parts that I didn't get with my truck, so I have to let him know the part numbers...for some reason they can't get them themselves.

Thanks!

Did you receive a trailer hitch with the truck? I believe they were standard equipment on the 06's.

Mason57: I don't have an 06 but someone posted (over a month ago) that the receiver was standard equipment on the 06. He was telling another member of this forum that he should go back to the dealer and get his hitch since it was standard equipment. Like I said, I have an 04 so I don't have first hand knowledge...........I just remember reading it.

They come as a package deal on the '06. Two soft bags and hitch.

Sorry for the confusion

I meant to write "hitch". Anyway, it sounds like you had to buy the soft storage/hitch package to get it with an 06. The person who said it was standard must have had that package with his and didn't understand the difference. Sorry for the confusion. Just wanted ggoat to get everything that was supposed to be included with his 06 model.
