2 Thumbs Up, 4 Mike's Aux. Fan

Got my aux. fan installed today. I am very pleased! A quality product with outstanding installation instructions. Seems to do the job very well. Thanks for your efforts Mike.

Had mine in for about a month now. Works great. Installation is a piece of cake for most people. I am mechanically challenged and it took longer, but I installed it myself!!

Yes I got the air dam as well. The installation of the fan is not real hard, but I could not bring myself to install the sensor that you have to insert through the radiator. After watching my mechanic install it ......it was not near as traumatic as one would think. My mechanic is an eclectic joker, he works on everything from my 20 year old Toyota hunting truck as well as Volvo's and Vette's. He charged me for 2 hours labor, $120.00. He talked very well of the fan kit as well as the instructions, I would think Mike should sell about 24,000 of these units...

Smile Thumbs up here too

I just got finished installing the kit this morning. Took me about 2.5 hours from removing the battery cable (step 1) to reattaching it (the last step). The directions were great and now all I have to do is fine tune it a bit more. I will run it at 210...kind of in the middle setting. THANKS MIKE!!!

I like the 210 setting

Thanks for the flowers....

After installing another one (I think this is #11 or 12 that I've done) this morning, I have settled in on a calibration point of 210. If you have the stock fan logic in your computers, the Aux Fan should be set to turn on at 210.... straight up. This allows a little room for the engine t-stat to function normally and captures the cooling system before it climbs to the 226 point where the OEM fan turns on. Even with daytime temps of 110 here in Phoenix, this does not seem to have too much running after shutdown and it seems to regulate at 210 quite well.

I have not yet found the correct calibration point for the S/C trucks, but plan to have it nailed down this afternoon when we are working on Hank's (Wilddesertwolf) Aqua Blur.

Oh, by the way..... All of you with my Aux Fan kit are in good company.... The fan I installed this morning was the 110th kit that I've produced.

Later,

Mike

yes!

installed mine last night, tuned the thermostatic control this morning
noticed that with the hood up the fan 'cycles' down it stays on, showing how heat is trapped in our engine compartments
nice work Mike
