seeing good reviews on the QTP cutouts.
What size should I order to install on my 04 SSR. The other question is Id like to get the round not the oval, will the round mount up nice and safe?
Thank You
Bg
I have the Stainless Works Tru-Dual exhaust with Stainless Works Long Tube Headers. The only cut-outs that would work for my R were Oval/Low profile. Not much room under there. Installed 1 year ago, works great and sounds AWESOME.....
Mike no longer sells them but he sold OTP. Check this link. http://www.ssrfanatic.com/forum/f5/...ictures-57878/?highlight=mikes+cutout+install You need 3" . When you install make sure the end pipe is not pointed directly down, when you gas the engine setting still it will blow dust. Also make sure the rod on the valve is on the downstream side to avoid excessive carbon build up. You will need to lube with a good Liquid Wrench spray every 6 months or more often.
You will love the sound. I did mine in 2012, cost $209 for the Kit, includes "y" pipe, wiring and switch. Cost is now up to $230. https://www.summitracing.com/search?SortBy=BestKeywordMatch&SortOrder=Ascending&keyword=QTP-QTEC30CP but shipping is included. You will also need at least a turn down tip with flange. I would look on E-Bay for it. Or better yet Amazon has the kit with turn down for $256.[ame]https://www.amazon.com/QTEC30CPSK1-Electric-Exhaust-Stainless-Cutout/dp/B00C43CXRO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1472257914&sr=8-7&keywords=3+exhaust+turn+down[/ame]
BG I did this 6yrs ago. 14" Magnaflo & Remote Cutout.
Badlanz High Performance Exhaust < Internet site
1 x 2.5 inch Stainless down pipe (BADTD250SS) = $35.00
1 x 2.5 inch Single Electric Cutout & Stainless Steel Y-adapter (C) (BADSSSKIT25C) = $195.00
1 x Single Wireless Controller (BADSWC) = $70.00
Local install
I got the 3" Round on both of mine, installed just in front of the muffler, fits well and is tucked up into the frame. wireless remote works just fine, just have to run a + and - wire up to the power box up front.
