6 Disc CD player

Does anyone know for sure if the 6 disc Bose CD player in a 2005 SSR is supposed to play an MP-3 in the #1 position. Any help appreciated

Yup, no MP3 capability. Sad part is, you have either the basic 1 disc unit that can play an MP3 CD that can hold 6-9 CD's worth of music, or have a unit that holds 6 CDs. Ends up being the same thing either way.

Rather than replace it, I opted to get an iPod and a head unit interface. Since it looks stock (can't see the ipod hidden away), and nobody wants a factory head unit, there's no obvious incentive for anyone to break into my 'R.
