Smile Acceleration Rattle

Hey, gang -

I have had an intermittent rattle on acceleration since the beginning, but it wasn't annoying enough to make a separate trip to the dealer. I needed a state inspection, so I asked the dealer to see if he could fix the rattle when he did this.

They checked the heat shields and made some adjustments, but this didn't fix it.

Upon further inspection, it was determined that the noise was coming from the passenger side firewall, related to the fuel line and harness. These were rerouted/repositioned. So far, I haven't heard the noise again.

Incidentally, for those in the north DFW area, I have had good luck so far (nothing major) with Stonebriar Chevy at SR 121 and Ohio in Frisco.

Glad they found it and resolved your rattle.

"Upon further review" the rattle is still there, intermittently, but it sounds a little different now.

That tells me they're on the right track. I'll give them a shot at getting it right.
