annoying rattle?

i just bought a new 05 ssr a couple of weeks ago and just love it except for an annoying rattle that seems to be coming from the top stowaway area over my right shoulder. i have opened the top panel and nothing seems to be loose or out of place. any help in this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Sun Visor

My SSR is rock solid - no rattles unless I put the top down - then the Sun Visor Makes noise (only the Drivers side) for some crazy reason. I pull the Sun Visor down and it quits.....

My 06 does it too but only when driver window is fully open. Open the passenger window some and it will stop.

I am going to track this down and fix it.

I used to have this annoying whistling noise when i drove my truck but found if I held my head inside the car, instead of hanging out the window with my mouth open, it went away.

Seat belt sleeve

I get a annoying rattle from my pass side seatbelt,it clangs against the metal
headrest molding. I went to auto zone and bought a seat belt strap protector
and put the end of the buckle into this sleeve,no more annoyance?! Hal

I posted some info on how I eliminated some rattles in my 05 SSR's hardtop. Take a look at this thread

My top still makes an occasional "noise" when going around a hard left/right turn but nothing like it was making before I made the adjustments in that other thread.

I hope that helps!

I had a very loud rattle in my '05 that I thought was coming from the dash area until I realized that it was coming from the header rail on the driver's side where the top meets the windshield. I coated the weatherseal above the windshield with Armor All and it's quiet as a mouse.
I did notice that there are TSB's for top rattle on '03's and '04's that require replacement of the "A" pillar weatherseal. I don't know if there is one for the '05's.
Good luck.

An earlier post

I read a post on this same rattle a month or so ago.
It is an adjustable-stop bolt for the top.
There is a picture of it in the post.
It's not quite tight enough so it hits and makes noise.
If it is adjusted, do it just a little at a time as to not go too far.
A pad of insulation-tape was also suggested.

Smile Rattle

If the spot your talking about is right in back of your head ,and goes across
the length of the top ,rattles when you hit it, i used black door edge on
that piece and the one near the read window. It took of my problem.
