Question Another Upper Radiator Hose Question.

After first getting my SSR and looking under the hood at idle I noticed the upper hose appeared flat as if in collapsed. Yet when I increased RPM at idle if quickly filled to full diameter. Never had any heating problems what so ever after 2500 miles. Is this normal??

Hey Antique,
The problem lies in your radiator cap that is on the overflow tank. It is clogged and causes this issue. You can clean them up or buy a new one, it has happened to me on a previous SSR and have seen it happen now and then to others.

If you haven't checked it out yet, you might want to make sure that the radiator fluid is clean and not muddy/clumpy as well. I have heard and seen issues with using plain water with Dexcool, make sure you use demineralized and not tap to make sure it performs well.
