I noticed this morning NO speed 4 on hvac control, all others work. Any ideas? I didn't find any posts with the search.
You will need to purchase this part # 15218254 Resistor Array or Resistor Assembly. This is the part that burns out most of the time. Leaves in your Heater is normally what contributes to is failure. One screw holds the Connector and Assembly to the Heater Housing. Just look for the Wiring Harness. When you pull it out the Resistor Array will be connected to it. Be sure to remove all Leaves or you may have a Fire start inside the Heater.
Good luck its an easy fix. The R. Array is under $ 20.00

Thanks MoodyBlue I'll clean out all debris and check it out.
Yes that is exactly what happened to mine. But could not find part readly. went to all parts & dealers in Toledo, Ohio. No parts availible. Talked to Domestic Auto Parts & Bought manual & took part number to Auto Quest to purchase part for under $10. took 2 days to get part & 10 minutes to change after no blower for 4 months.

Can you see the burnt resistor? could it be silver soldered? I know it's a cheap part, but I like to fix things if I can.

The Array is Fire Proofed. You can purchase Fire Proof Resistors but they would be more expensive than the whole Array. Plus you would have to know the Resistance of the burned out # 4. I would not advise trying to fix this Array. Repeating the Fire Proofing would be hard to duplicate. But after saying this I am a Electrical/Electronic Engineer. So like you I do love to do my own repairs when practical.

Works for me! Chevy did try and give me R. Arrays from several different Vehicles before I finally got the right one. Trailblazers and Tahoes don't work.
between glove box and firewall, look up, 2 gold screws that take a 6 mm socket. Very easy!

Same as Colorado and Canyon. They are having trouble with the harness and connector melting! Thank God I didn't see any sign of that happening Heading out to get new resistor now

I forgot one important detail. Chevy will replace it at no labor charge. You do have to pay for the Array. Thers is a recall on these Arrays.
Plug in harness after installation! I plugged in resistor first and got a spark when I brushed it against metal under dash. Lucky didn't blow resistor or fuse. Blower circut has a 40 amp fuse so I think the little spark I made didn't draw over 40 amps.
