Bard's '05 Update

For the SSR owners that are not ready for a Supercharger. This is what I have done. So far I changed the straight pipe that goes between the Cats and muffler to a straight 3" pipe and then 3" in and 3" out Magnaflow High Performance muffler ($276). Then recently I just installed a VaraRam Throttle Body Spacer ($50) and a Fram Air Hog air filter ($17.50 great Ebay find). So far I have notice some improvement. Smoother and slightly better acceleration and better gas milage. I was getting in the low 13's and now its up to the low 15's and I'm not easy on her. If there is a guy/gal who thinks their car is hot, I find myself obligated to show them differently. My latest conquest was an '05 BMW Z-4. Passed him at 110 mph. When he finally caught up to me at the light he gave me the thumbs up and big smile. It is a good thing I carry a Badge. I've also had the bed sprayed with Rhino- Lining. The plastic insert just had to go, it was getting too scratched up and I was worried about water getting under it. I've installed the windscreen that was being sold through this site. I've ordered Mike's AZ fan and air dam. My next purchase will be the installation of a computer program called the LS2 Edit. I am waiting for the guy to get the program in. He said it should come in a couple of weeks ($375). He said they will dyno it and I will post the results here when I get them. I think this might be it unless someone has any suggestions for low cost improvements. My daughter still has 1 more year of college.
I want to say, this site has been great. There is a wealth of knowledge here and the people are great. I thank you all.

Even the small mods for now will show improvements in drivability. The biggest thing is that you are enjoying doing things to it.

update to the update

I've changed the rear to the 4.10 and I just got my HP Tunning done. What a difference. The Tuner thinks my 0 to 60 is 5.2 now, but I need to get it to the track and find out for sure.
I love this truck

BTW:
Are you going to Englishtown to meet the other SSR owners on this Fri?
