My SSR: Richoect silver 05 #19466 three pedal AKA: Silver Streak
Battery died today funeral tomorrow
WAs at an inspection today and when I finished walked out to the R and turned the key and it sputtered twice then kicked over once and caught. Thought boy did I get lucky. A quick call to dealer which was 1/2 hour away to notify I was on my way in and they were ready for me when I rolled in. 1/2 hour later I was back on the road again "Willie Nelsons version"
I guesss three years is about all we can hope for these days. I wonder if it would have made it past original warranty for someone who owned a vechicle this long but did not drive as many miles as I do.

Three years ain't bad, Larry . . . the Battery in DOOPHUS "pooped out" after a little over two years.

It's a good thing live in cooler Northern AZ. , because my original battery is still going after over 4 1/2 years. Into 56 months of a 72 month battery.

climate can affect the batt too. here in South Florida, 2-3 years is about it for an OEM battery. See it daily at the dealership. Also on the GM models with the auto headlights, I tell customers with the vehicles that are susceptible (sp?) to this issue to kill the auto headlights before turning the key off and to make a habit of it to add life to the battery.

If the alternator is working properly this should not make any difference since the lights are of during cranking anyway.

If you do what you've always done,
You'll get what you've always gotten.
Died from lead poisoning. It went T.U. (terminals up). Had a "terminal" disease. Filled it with Lead. It's eyes were sparkless. It was a big "drain" on everyone.

Also 4 and a half years - almost 60,000 miles and in the Houston heat and humidity. I have it checked at every oil change. There must be something to this "battery in the back" theory of no engine heat.
