Question beat the yellow vette, but TCS came on

question ;so the manual say s over 100 mph ..tcs light come s on for what reasion? if you gong 120 130 140 mph for 20 mins.. is there going to be damage? i understand tcs light gos off at 90 mph and below or push tcs button ,dose any one know if damage will acure at 120 +++++ mph and tcs light comes on while drivin these high speed s for any time with zz top playing loud as the bose system will go.

ps. the yellow 2006 vette will never bother a ssr ever again. top down too.

The light just comes on to tell you traction control is off. No other reason. No damage.

However, you likely won't be going over 125 unless you have modified the speed limiter via a custom tune. If you have modified the speed limiter and are going over 125, I hope you have Z rated tires.

Tires (OEM) are rated for 128 mph, and that is where the speed limiter is set.

P/P

Peace

If your truck is stock then I'd have to say the Vette was either sick or the driver just didn't have go-nads to run it harder. Same HP and over a 1k lbs lighter...you should have been getting a good view of his plate. I love my SSR and it's quick but it's not Vette quick.

Peace
Here is a screen capture (read entire dump in HP Tuners) of the stock speed limiter settings from my automatic 2006 Final Production Run truck. Speedlimiter is set to 125 mph. I also have some stock dumps from an auto 2005 and manual 2005 and they were also 125 mph.

The factory Goodyear tires are H-Speed rated. Vettes I have seen come with Z-Rated tires.

Rest assured you have been "toyed" with...Top speed on the standard o6 Vette is 186 MPH....I own both the LS2 SSr and Vette and there s no comparing the too.
the SSr I had would need a flashlight just to find my Vette after 10 seconds or less.

I own a (2) 2000 Vet's an Automatic and 6 Speed and a 2006 - 6 Speed SSR. Both Vet's blow the doors off of my SSR and I have had the computer re-programmed on the SSR. The 2006 Vet should have walked away from the SSR. Just my $0.02 input.

I noticed with the Predator, one can modify the tune (if u know what the heck ur doin). Can the speed limiter be changed with the Predator?
