Blue Tooth & Garmin

Does anyone have any experience with either the Garmin Nuvi or the Garmin Street Pilot 550 and their bluetooth setup? I am curious about the quality of the speaker and the internal mic. I can't stand the ear piece method of hands free phone use.
thanks for your input.

not Garmin

but I have TomTomGo with the bluetooth hands free phone feature and it works great with the top up, but when it is down, forget trying to hear anything at highway speeds or anyone hearing you for that matter.

Your best bet is using an amplified external speaker with the Garmins. Also, I prefer to buy from a company that has a no questions asked return policy. Such as www.jr.com

Garmin

I have the Nuvi 660 and LOVE it. The mic and speaker work perfectly for me at any speed.

I also have a NUVI 660. Excellent product. Blue tooth capabilities excellent. Easy to setup. No problem to talk through 660 and hear person calling with no problem at all. Mic and speaker are great. Not using an earpiece was one of the reasons I got the 660.

Garmin

Use the supplied windshield mount so that I can move it between cars. Even though my wife has a factory GPS I prefer my Garmin.
