Bolt Pattern

Ok, so I skipped all the vehicle know-how and went with the computer know-how as a kid, so Ive got a question.

Im trying to have some custom wheels built. They want to know the bolt pattern, and probaly other stuff. Could anyone explain to me what I need to know?

Thanks.

If you go to the search mod and enter wheels or tires there have been numerous threads with all the info you need

Definitely no expert here, Sideburns . . .

However, my recommendation would be to furnish "the experts" with an original wheel to avoid any possible confusion and/or problems once the new wheels have been built.

Ive been called and e-mailed a lot of people, and I guess there is no one that can make what I want them to make.

I was attempting to accent the retro side of the SSR by putting some 17 inch Smoothies on it. Red powdercoat and Babymoons....It was gonna be awesome =(.

Oh well.

Wheels

There are a few options out there. Some (not many) wheels can be drilled to fit the SSR bolt pattern if you can talk to the manufacturer who has a set of blanks available? This is what I had done by KMC. Good luck. Tony

Check with Scott as he’s building that retro-looking SSR that been posted throughout this past year.

I posted a thread under "chrome reverse" that the Fanatics responded to with some good sources. One that was mentioned that does have 17" is simply "smoothie wheels". No idea about bolt pattern and width though.

As to the original question, sorry, I have no idea.

Front wheel’s 17x5.5 and the rears 17x11, Rear tires are 390/40R17's, fronts are 185/55R17's. The front has a rear spacing of 3.00", The Rear has a rear spacing of 7.250".

Need 17" wheels

Ask Joe, 2005SSR6Speed, as he installed these sizes on Hank's SSR.

I checked out the retro-retro SSR, and gave them a call. Thats the exact wheel I want, minus the color, but the problem is the body and fenders had been changed, thus allowing the wheel more room to fit.

I just went and talked to my local tire and wheel guy for a while, and he made several phone calls for me. Basically, the 17x9 Smoothie that he could get could not be made to work, because we were going to have an adapter built to put it on the truck. With the adapter in place, the wheel was going to push out about 4 inches further then the stock set up.

Wheel Vintique has some Smoothies of their own, but there phone line is still busy.

I appreciate the advice. If anyone has anything else that might help, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Please keep all of us up to date as this subject has been brought up a number of time without any final solution that I know of.

If you go to Newstalgia Wheel, American Racing Wheels, Boyd Coddington Wheels, Billet Vintiques, Billet Specialties, Motorcycle wheels, Colorado Custom Wheels, Cragar Wheels, Bonspeed Wheels, Foose Wheels, Radir Wheels, TQ Chrome and use their wheel simulator you can do an SSR in your color and put the Wheel Vintiques on it in 17", lower it, change tire size, etc. and see how it will look. We picked out both sets of our wheels this way.
