Brake Lite

There was a post about a pulsing third brake lite you could buy on the forum. The post also included the name of the company where this can be purchased. Does anybody on the forum have this info???? I would appreciate it.

Love the blinking 3rd BRAKE light, you can see their faces when it catches their eyes and they hit the brakes and stop way back! Especially the driving & texting morons

Snipping 1 wire saves you $40, then zip tie the blinker body to the tailgate inner structure/support.

Last year in Laughlin... following lloger... Noticed the third light... later I pulled him aside & told him he might have a loose wire... the third light was blinking!!!

How do i get to the light and if I breakl the holding tab are they readily available?

You'll need to get a couple of the plastic holding tabs from your dealer or other parts store.

The carpet on the tailgate is held on with Velcro. Should come right off without any problems.

Left side bar, Online Instructions, then go down to Brake Light Pulser for SSR. Doc's pix are there w/ detailed instructions. Our 3rd brake light is NOT cheap, don't break it! Holding tab is on the harness plug.

Part #15133728 for the SSR, LIST Price $174.44...........per RSSRTOY @ American Chevy in Modesto, CA

LOCTITE is used on the tailgate Torx bolts! They're are tight, but they will break loose.

The tabs are pushed into a 6mm nut that is for the cargo net eyelets. If you have them just screw them in instead of the tabs.

Or drill a hole in the tab and secure it with a 6mm x 16mm bolt.
