broke top

Installed a wiring harness for the deck lid light and now I get a "cargo lid open" message.
I checked the switch at the left hinge and its where it was before I removed it.
I haven't removed the left side again to check the continuity of the switch or wiring.
I can't tell is the left rear latch is wired.
Any ideas on how many things have to be aligned for the computer to be happy so the top can go down?

And the other gremlin is that when the left door is opened completely the window lowers itself as is the door is closed and the handle is pulled on.
Move the door about a foot towards closing and the window raises itself as if the door is closed. You can stand there and cycle the door back and forth to see the window move with the door completely open without pulling on any handles.
Is there a switch inside the door harness? I was leaning towards a broken wire somewhere in the door.
