Car wrap
There is a company that was made aware of at the recent SEMA Show. The material is called Road Wrap, it is a temporary front wrap that is removable from the front of your vehicle. Here is the web site Paint Protection Film for Car Care Trucks SUVs RVs Bug Shield this is for any body that dose not want to have any thing perminately applied like 3M clearguard

It will certainly look better than painters tape if used under a conventional bra.

Need more info.
It's not pallet wrap it has a sticky glue side and you don't need the conventional bra anymore.
Painters tape.. at 1/2" wide that would take forever to cover the front of an SSR...

I wonder if this is just a repackaged version of "collision wrap" that RaticalSSR had mentioned sometime last year. That's the stuff they use to "tie up" loose parts on cars as they're being towed away from a wreck scene so they're not falling off all over the place.
Since I'll need to pull my clear film off to repair some minor damage, this stuff might be the ticket for the long trips rather than pay for the film all over again (boy was it pricey too!).

Its hard to put this stuff on and keep it wrinkle free. Clear Bra installers have my new found respect. One thing about it, it doesn't look pretty and seems to increase the number of commentators and the remarks about truck.
It seems to work great if you can get it on flat with a minimum number of wrinkles. Wrapping around corners on the edges tends to result in the stuff coming loose so don't do that if you can avoid it. It seems to remove easily. So far I think it works Ok. I can definitely see the appeal in the summer when the bugs are at their worst... easy way to peel them off.
The above is after the first application and wrapping the whole front of the truck. Maybe I will have a different thought after a few more times putting the stuff on.
