cargo cover ajar

Been trying to get roof open and kept getting cargo cover ajar. After checking all of the things mentioned on this site, we noticed the light in the cover does not go on and the accessory power on wall of cargo bed has no juice. We check every fuse we could find and they all look good. Any suggestions?

Take it to your dealer. Most likely it is the header switch that needs to be replaced. It could be something else, but that is most likely the culprit. Most have experienced this.

You can also do a search on this forum to find out a number of other possibilities.

Good Luck.

I see that you have one of the first SSRs....congrats on that.

There are 2 fuse boxes, one under the hood and another one under the waterfall.....

The waterfall fuse block is on the passenger side. Easy to find. In my 2006, the rear compartment Aux Power outlet is fuse # 15.

Also check RDM2 (Roof Door Module 2) Fuse #28 in the same panel. It feeds the Roof Door Module that has the "Rear Compartment Lid Ajar Switch" signal coming into it.

If all checks out OK and you are still having trouble, you are gonna have to find a GM Technician that understands how to use the diagnostic tool. If that is the case, be sure to tell him that you have a very early serial number. I'm sure the systems had some changes since your truck was produced.

By the way, welcome aboard. I hope we can help you.
