center shifter cover plate

is there a post on how to remove the center shift console cover?

it is on an automatic trans. - i wanted to pull it off and have it painted yellow- maybe i am calling it the wrong description.

it is the cover that has the door locks- window buttons etc.

any help would be great.

Use a plastic tool (like a spatula) and gently pry up on four corners, then pull straight up.

Doug, When I removed mine to install a flameball shifter knob, I had to pull like the it was very hard to remove, just don't be afraid to use more force than you might expect.......
