Thumbs up Chambered Exhaust Rocks!!!!

Over Thanksgiving I installed the Stainlessworks Chambered Catback exhaust on my basically stock 06SSR. I previously had the Flowmaster Super 40 muffler installed but was looking for more without the famous 40 series drone. This chambered exhaust gave me what I was looking for. It provides a deeper and louder sound then the Flowmaster Super 40 and it's way, way better than the OEM exhaust. The sound at idle and take off is music to my ears, especially with the top down. Unfortunately, I can see my gas mileage going down the tubes because I'm putting the pedal to the medal more often now! When you let off the gas it sounds like you have a big block under the hood as it rumbles to a stop. The quality of the 300 series stainless exhaust and 4 inch polished tips is first rate. I did the install myself in the garage with the SSR on car ramps and jack stands. The install required some extra time and work to get some of the hangers to fit correctly but in the end it worked out ok. The list cost is $800 but you can get one cheaper if you shop around. For example, Summit On Line sells it for around $675. If you are looking for something to turn heads when you go down the street, this is it. I have received several compliments from bystanders already. You won't be disappointed.

Sounds maybe what I'm after. Went to Stainlessworks website and found this video. Does this sort of sound like what you're talking about?

Go to Media Center at the top of the home page and click on Chambered Exhaust FBODY at the bottom of the link.

I could not open the sound file you listed. See the private message I returned.

Couldn't find anyone in my area willing to install the Stainlessworks and since I'm too incompetent to do it myself I ordered the Magnaflow I had my choice of 14", 18" or 24" He said the 14 would be loudest so I'll try that first. Cost for muffler to the existing hardware is $175.00. We'll see how it sounds tomorrow. I have no idea how performance will be affected or if this setup can hurt the engine as per some posts suggested with the Flowmaster 40 or 50 setup.

Too bad. You could have run down to HB and we could have done it here. That way I could get a first hand listen. Of course that would likely cost me......
