How could a guy have 10,000+ posts and not know how to reset his DIC?

Heck no. I expect good comments like yours. You surprised me, however, because I had only seen your name a few times. I thought to myself that something must really have provoked you. I knew I should have read the manual, but it is in the garage and I am in the house. Just lazy.

What? You haven't noticed the hundreds of times that appeared in various threads?
Being a Mod on another site, I know it may not help, but can't hurt, sucking up.

It's even easier than that. When it gets down to 20%, i just change back to 100% and never have to change my oil.

Of course not. In your case he may make an exception, so be careful

Heh, heh,,, I was lazy. The manual is in the garage and I am warm and cozy here in the living room and I knew some one would answer my question.
but gosh, I got much more than the answer. I read them to Mary and we both got a laugh.

There are actually two ways to reset oil life readout.
The easiest is the way LT posted and the other is to
turn key on (engine off) and press accelerator to floor 3 times in a row, oil gauge DIC readout resets to 100%.

Remember . . . not all vehicles with a DIC have those little buttons on the steering wheel.
