Chrome front end

I absolutely love the chrome grills on the 47-53 Chev pick-ups. That's probably why I like the SSR so much. I'm still trying to find my SSR but when I find it, I'd love to get the horizontal bars on the front grill area chromed. Is that possible? Has anyone ever done that?

Eric at MPD was looking at making these. I don't know what happened.

I hope you're prepared for the cost? Buying the 3 lower grille bar overlays and then getting them electroplated chrome will certainly run into some serious money. I believe that fanatic Fred Sumlin went that route. You could contact him.

I'm excited to see what Eric can do on this project and hope that it replicates the stock unit precisely, but with the chrome.
