Question Computer Tuning Do's & Don't

in another month or 6 weeks I should be taking 2004 automatic for the computer tuning after the 456 gears are installed.
Questions:
1. I know from reading the thresds that turning off the Torque Management should not be done. Whats good for the 04 auto?
2. By passing the O2 sensor should not be done.

I just want a decent tune to continue running 87 octane (poor boy lately), a little better shift points and recommendations for temperatures for the fan. Nothing fancy for now.
OH by the way, it has been putting some soot on the tailgate, so I will be leaning it out a little bit. The guy who is doing it does only GM vehicles and has a good reputation.
What else should I NOT consider doing?
Tips will be appreciated.
Thank You

It is going to be hard to get a decent tune to continue running 87 octane, You have a high and low octane, Looks like this, So with 87 octane you will have to tune the low octane, You can add some timing but I don't know if you would feel any diff before you started getting KR with 87 octane, You could put a little more presure to the tranny, Cut the TM to 50%, I wouldn't worry about that to much running on low tune, Put a better air cleaner in and see what it feels like, Some times little things can make the 5.3 feel pretty strong and with a gear change, Might feel so go you will want to add the 91 and high tune and kill some Vettes, The 02's there is no reason to do anything to them, Now anyway, The temp on the fans are set about right unless you change the stat.,
