Console Lock Key #104

Does anyone have the center console lock key with code #104.

My recently purchased 2004 SSR did not come with any center console keys.

If nobody has a #104 center console key I can get a copy of, I'll try to start locating a lock smith to create one from the code (I hope).

Robert

Go to a Chevy dealer and ask them to order your key from A-1-Securities. $18.00 and you will have two original keys.

Thanks for that suggestion.

I'm going to setup a service visit for this SSR next week. The Dex-Cool coolant has been in this SSR for over 5 years, so it's time to a cooling system flush.

I'll stop by their parts department and have them order a set.

Some dealers are not aware that A-1 Securities is the only vender that will make an original console key for your "R". If thats the case just give them this information: Thier FAX is 804.359.9415, or call 804.359.9003 ext 72. Don't bother to call them yourself because they will only take an order from a Chevy dealer that provides them with proof of ownership.

For wingrider to come over to unlock your SSR's center console, wouldn't you and your SSR have to "really exist".

I know you and your SSR exist since we've met and I sold you a SSR windbreak.

I just believe you exist in a time/space continuum that is slightly out of phase with the rest of the world. That's why you and your SSR only appear to the rest of us on rare occasions.

I don't know about Laughlin yet. The SSR purchase is "so new" that we've not had time to plan out things to far into the future.

Robert

Thanks whatfor90!

I went to the "local" Chevy parts department today. They were able to place the order for the console keys as you outlined in your post. I should see them by next week with a cost of around $28.

Thanks again!

Robert

Try again

I didn't think mine worked either, but after several tries of wiggiling and pulling out or pushing in slightly they worked.

If the keys actually insert into the console lock cylinder, then make sure the key code stamped on the key matches the code on the outside of the lock cylinder face.

Other than that, try what Shadowman suggested.

I got my keys from the local Chevy dealer recently. They went through A-1 Securities, and it cost me (actually Santa) $35 for the pair.
