Cup holders

I sat in an SSR today and noticed that the cup holder on the console does get in the way. It looks to me that the cup holder in the dash on the passenger side is the same size and shape as the storage tray on the drivers side. I wonder if one could buy another cup holder and install it on the drivers side so you could have 2 cup holders in the dash?

solution to cup holders

Don't drink and drive. And hang up the phone and enjoy the ride.

I can't believe you guys are complaining about the cup holder and not the 7.5 sec for 0-60!

Can someone please tell me how powerful it is? Are 300 ponnies enough for this fat boy(4700 lbs)?

re Cup holder

You're right. The cup holder on the right is the same size as the change holder on the left (already swapped mine). The four tabs (two top, two bottom) need to be depressed then reach through the open ashtray area and push the whole assembly out. (Don't try to just swap out the part that extends! The cup holder/change tray must be removed with the case it retracts in to.) The face plate needs to be swapped (different shapes) as well. They just pop off and snap back on. When the part listing comes out at the dealers, hopefully in early Dec, a new holder can be ordered to have one on each side.

ponies

It all depends on whether you want to cruise or drag race. For every day driving it is more than enough. It's not going to out drag any Corvettes, but it has plenty of HP to get you on the freeway and up to 70 without getting run over.

I agree, 300 hp is enough for cruising......It's the coolist cupholders on wheels!!

Thumbs up Real HP

I disagree, just to much weight to push around with only 220 hp at the rear wheels, wait for the 2005! It will have some real hp and perhaps even better mileage.

First Year Jinks?....Engineered Obsolescence

Same thing happen to the 53 Corvette, and the 55 Nomad, not a whole lot of horsepower, but in their 3rd year , 55 Corvette had a V8 and 57 Nomad had F.I.
When the 67 Camaro came out, it had 5 Engines Options. but a high production car.
All the above, no cupholders.
