I made the decision to customize my SSR and started searching here for ideas, information and parts. (This IS the place for information and ideas).
It went into the shop a little more than a week ago to get 4:56 gears, Super Chip, K&N air filter, Mass Air Flow Sensor, and now side exhaust (pictures Attached).
Next will be front chin spoiler, Wolf's rear spoiler, swap all the satin for chrome (although I'm still missing some pieces), New hood with scoop, rear body panel to get rid of the rear exhaust cut-outs.
Should take another 3 to 4 weeks. I'll post progress pic's here.
Just wanted to thank everyone for the information, ideas and parts..............THANKS :^)
I am always intrigued with the side pipe idea. Are they functional? If so how are they routed? OK looking at the second picture answered my question. they still look good but hooking them up although nearly impossible would be awesome.
Yeah....the pipes are for looks .....but they are also somewhat fuctional.
The exhaust is connected at the rear of the side pipes for looks so it doesn't flow out the rear and for sound.
I conected mine right from the headers, How did they clear the gas tank on the drivers side? And also thinking how loud it will be or did they run it threw a muffler then branch off to the sides, useing the side pipes as tail pipes instead of the baffles inside the side pipes? Is there anyway of posting pics of them? And they do look cool..................Nice job

They used a shorter muffler and then ran "ninety" straight out to the sides. They had to run under the frame because of the gas tank out to the side pipes so, when it's done if you look close and under the pipe you can see the pipe as it runs back under the car. They will install a heat sheild for the pipe that runs under the fuel tank.
I'll get some more pictures for the underside as soon as I can and post them.
