The two outside gauges need to be loosened a bit, but not removed, to allow the center gauge backing plate (the large black pastic part) to be removed. Once the nuts holding the center gauge in place are taken off, the gauge slips out the front of the pod.
The Dakota gauge is much shallower, and by cutting back the studs a bit, they do not interfere with the printed circuit board. Can't say enough about how handy a Dremel tool is.
The photos are of the install on the 03. I removed the right gauge (outside temp) from the 06.

They are long gone. I have some spare parts but that's it.
Just to let you know DD no longer sells the tire pressure monitoring system.
They said that the sensor prices were getting out of hand.
I was very impressed Flassh post.

Thanks, Walter
Any TPMS system is a great addition. The system DD was using was discontinued by Smartire. Fortunately, the sensors used in their commercial system are compatible with the receiver, so I'm good for the forseeable future. Sensor prices haven't changed much in the last 6 years or so.
There are several other systems available, some at a very reasonable price. The downside is they don't have a 2" display to fit into the auxiliary gauge set. One possibility is to install into the ashtray area.
