Thumbs up DiabloSport/Predator Upgrade

I'm hearing rumors of an upgrade to the Predator tuner for the 2005-2006 LS-2 Auto-Trans SSR's. Including Transmission Control Module support for rear gear changes (4:56 ratio) to correct the Speedo calibration problem afterwards. In addition, full TCM support ability to alter shift parameters. I hope the rumors are true and the upgraded version is coming soon! I for one, will buy a tuner as soon as they become available with these upgrades. Tell me it's true, Mike@Diablo!

I had a problem with my tuner a few months back and call them for help and I also was told that a upgrade was in the works for all you mentions but he would not say when it will be out. I am waiting for the upgrade so I can do the rear gear change.

I am sure it wont be to long before they have it solve'd...................Pasta Mike

Exclamation U1791 Update

I see that as of 8-2-07 diablo has an update? Has anyone tried this and if so what did it do? Looks as if it is for the 05 GTO and the 06 SSR. By the way, when at the dealer they pulled up all the TSB's on the SSR and low and behold the FANATICS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT. Quite a large list so someone has been listening.

This is true, we are currently working on this update.
As I type this PastaMike and waysouth6speed are here as we are trying to calibrate Annes speedo for her 4.56 gears in her 06 SSR six speed.
These trucks are definitely different than all other LS2 vehicles in regard to speedo calibration, and this may be a tricky task.
I will let you guys know the outcome.

Thanks
Mike

Unfortunatley, my speedo has not been successfully calibrated as of yet by anyone (although many have tried). Mike at Diablo has been very helpful and I have received great customer service from him and everyone at Diablosport. They're still working on it. He hasn't given up yet so I won't either. In the meantime I'm just enjoying my performance tune and the peace and quiet of not havin' my ABS warning yellin' at me!

Contact Bryan Herter at : www.pcmforless.com

He will recalibrate your speedometer / odometer for your gear ratio change.
Also he has an excellent PCM Re-Calibration that provides both Performance and Fuel Economy.

The Testing was verified by my trip to the SSR meet in Springfield MO where I drove a total of 1,969 miles averaging 20. + mpg. at 75 mph-80 mph.

Bryan is very aware of the SSR gear ratio change issue and has an excellent solution to correct this condition.

He is located in Western Pennsylvania , so turn the around time is very quick staying within the U.S. borders.

If you have any questions, Bryan will answer them or I will give you my feedback on his Re-Calibrations along with my upgrades to my SSR.

Thumbs up Pcm

I called these folks this morning about the tunes and things. Seem like good people over the phone. I am going to give them a shot, I mean chance. Well see what the turn around is and if they can improve the SSR and fix the speedo for the gears. Thanks hibeams for the address. May have a Diablo for sale cheap!!!

You may want to check with PCMforless. They said they could reprogram my Diablo. All I needed to do was take the SSR back to stock and send it to them. They would give me a 4:56 and custome tune for $250.

If this works for you, please let me know, and if Bryan is able to do it, I'd love for him to let us know what he did, as I have had our software guys and tuners trying to figure it out with no luck so far.

Thanks
Mike

I just spoke to Bryan at pcmforless and he said they cannot re-program the diablosport...? But he did say they can reprogram my ECM.

6 Speed 4:56 Speedo Change

So is there currently anything I can own that will recalibrate my SSR for 4:56 gears ? I do not want to be sending out my PCM each time I take the car in to the dealer and they re flash.

Thanks

I hate the idea of sendin' my computer away.

Not that I can find.... yet. And I have been diligently searching.

Mike @ Diablo assures me they are workin' on it.
