DIC will not illuminate all the time

My DIC on my 05 will not come on every time I start the truck.
Some of the time it will and some of the time it don't.
I did a search on this and found one post about this problem.
It said the TSC number is 050849007.
Is this the correct number for this problem.
It is at the dealer now with a copy of this number and they act
like this number is not correct.
Can one of you give me a update on this number.

I had the same problem for over a year and it finally failed at the dealership. The problem was the ignition switch which was replaced and I have had no problem with a dead DIC.
