Driveline Clicking Noises???

I was wondering if anyone with an SSR 2003-2006 has a annoying clicking noise coming from the rear of the car from underneath. I had a 2003 with this clicking noise when you accelerate or decelerate. I went to 2 different dealers and they couldn't find the noise nor fix it. They heard it, just couldn't fix it. Then GM technical support said it's a normal noise and the dealers should not try to fix it. They will not be reimbursed for any other work that they perform to fix this problem. Anyway I just bought a 2005 with 6 Speed. Now that truck rocks!!! Much improved overall from the 2003. But it still Has that ticking, Clicking noise.
Got Ideas???

Noise? What Noise says GM... I Had mine in several times for this issue. GM calls it "NORMAL" now to avoid paying warranty claims on something they refuse to re engineer and address properly. Whats next? when the steering wheel falls off they will call that normal too? IM just chalking this SSr up to a good learning experience I sure won't buy GM again any time soon. GM has great ideas for fun vehicles but the final execution seems to always turn out miserable somehow.

Yea it STINKS!!!!

I have always been a GM Guy. But this SSR Thing is not fair. I bought a 2003 in Dec 2003 and it Tinked after about 6 months, then 4 drive shafts later it stilled tinked. I thought when I bought the 2005 the tink problem would have been handled. Well it tinks more than the 2003.

Whatever!!!!

Hate it!!!!!

I can honestly say that I never heard this TINK come from my 06. Other than the differential is there something different with the 6 speeds that would explain this?

Just before I got my truck last summer I talked to my sons friend father who is a mechanic at a local Chevy dealership. I asked him about this. He said it's not only the SSR that expereinces this. He's worked on Ford trucks that had similar noises. He said it's not just a SSR issue.

My 2005 has a Six Speed! and it S tinks.
I heard some just never made the noise. A friend of mine has a 2004 no tink.
I'm going to find another Chevy Dealer tomorrow if it doesn't snow 10 Inches, and see if they will put a driveshaft in. Ya know ya pay 40 grand for a car it should be trouble free. Or the Manufacturer should deal with it.

How many people did GM lay off last year???
