The Dual Spal Fan Kit is almost here

Just a quick update for the many Fanatics on the waiting list who have been PMing me: we are almost ready!

The shop got dealt a couple of setbacks when they ordered an actual GM SSR radiator to help in the development of an EASY to install kit. First, the radiator took forever to arrive. Then, when it did finally show up, it was actually visibly bent! Talk about gorillas in parcel delivery services . . .

But, things are on track again now. The first two kits will actually be sold and installed next week, and the shop' shipping order will generally follow the order in which Fanatics placed themselves on the waiting list. As your name comes close on the list, the shop will contact you for credit card info and shipping address. Those within driving distance will be able to have the kit installed here in Austin while you wait. One nearby Faatic who put himself on the list early is scheduled to come to the shop next week and get the first kit installed.

The features of the kit are described in an earlier thread:

The Jim G replacement engine cooling fan testing has begun

In addition, there will be some new features that were not mentioned or have been added.

The performance, fit, and ease of install of this setup are about the best I've seen.

KC is trying to hold off publishing the final price until he gets the kit costs as low as he can. He is also trying to develop a great deal on an instalaltion price. He thinks people will be pretty pleased.

I've been running one on my personal SSR for 6 weeks now, in Austin's mid 90s to low 100s weather, and it continues to work flawlessly day after day, just as expected.

More details next week, including final features.

This is good news!

I am certainly interested in this as well. Just have to put it on my wish list below the new roof and gutters.

and the drive shaft
and the 50" plasma HDTV I've been drooling over
and the new HDTV satellite receiver I'd need to make the most of that Plasma TV
and ...
and ...

Where's those winning lottery tickets when you need one?
