ECM question

Hi All,

The question I have, will a GM E40 ECM (engine computer), service number 12597191 that fits a 2006 GTO's work in my 05 SSR? The Manufacturer Part Number is 12596733 and I plan to send this out to be tuned and swap it out with my factory one. Or if their is another ECM I can use please let me know.

Thanks
Buck

I think I would talk to a Chevy Technician. I looked at the GTO ECM and the SSR ECM Schematics. They are not even close. The SSR Controls many more functions than the GTO. The Electronic Components and extra Data Connections have to be there for you to Re-program. I don't see those functions in the GTO System. Good Luck.

04 gran prix
05 GTO
05 trailblazer

i sent a email to my tuner and asked him if they all use the same ECM and if they would work for tuning
