My SSR: 2004 numerous modifications
ethanol
The stations up here started carrying gas with 10% ethanol. The question is the combination alows for the absorption of water that may get into your engine especially if you let the gas sit. Any suggestions on weather to put a filter in to seperate any water that might buld up in the tank other than drive the car a lot. My understanding is that the combination is not great for our cars or fuel system. Is there anyway to combat this situation

Drive it like you stole it and buy your gas from a place that does a fair amount of business so their gas doesn't sit too long.

I believe all gasoline down here is "infected" with at least 10% ethanol, Neal.
So far, no problems.

And buying a bottle of "drygas" is just adding more ethanol to the tank.

Lets make a bigger fuel tank to balance out fuel economy just like they did with the LeMans Corvette recently...

I think you'll find the sign on the pump say, "
up to 10% ethanol". I think in actuality, most is around 5%, but that may vary.

Not big on reading the small print, Bruce . . . but I believe you're right.
I am certain there is something about ETHANOL on all of the pumps down here.
