Exhaust "Tips" Make A Noticeable Difference

If any of you folks are interested check out the pictures I posted in the Gallery.

I changed the OE exhaust tips to the Bosal 5 inch 259-059. Without any muffler alteration, these tips increase the engine rumble just enough without making a real racket. I personally love the glass pack sound, but enjoy listening to my sirius radio a little more. If you want the look along with a little improved exhaust note, I highly recommend just changing the exhaust tips. I truly believe the added size of going from 3 to 5 inches helps with the reverberation of sound. It seems to do it for me. I hope this suggestion is helpful.

Where did you find them? Did you do the installation yourself?

be careful that the tips aren't too close to the facia. I've seen a few where the heat from the tips caused distortion in the facia around them - Otherwise, very cool!

I'm running those same tips and they are double walled. They have plenty of room to get 2 of my fat fingers all the way around with no problem. I like the
way it snap crackels and pops when I down shift the 6 speed.

Yes I will big guy I'd be glad to. I think it makes them look bigger and they are easier to keep clean.

Hey Guys,

I got mine directly from the source. Contact: Mike Yatkowitz @ Bosal USA
Myattkowitz@bosalusa.com tell him you saw mine on the web site. He is the same person that sent me my windscreen. Bosal purchased the company that made the windscreens for the SSR. They still have many in their inventory. FYI Bosal was the OEM for our exhaust stems.

Curt, I had them installed by GREG @ MIGHTY MUF'LER, INC., 10032 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85020 (602) 944-5210. They are a long standing performance shop in Phoenix. Greg is an outstanding guy.

I hope this information is helpful.

I took my "R" to a well known performance muffler shop here in Arizona. They cut off the stock tips and welded the new ones in place. The Bosal tips are large so there was plenty of room to make them look like they were the originals. In person they look super.

Good question, Mikey

I tried to order online late last night but something went screwy with the form of payment (my fault, not theirs) so I called first thing this morning.

As I posted earlier, the rep was very accommodating! They are bookmarked and I'll buy from them again.
