Express down window

I've tried to find something along these lines in the search engine, but haven't been successful. Maybe someone can answer or direct me to the right post. I was reading the owner's manual for the first time (shocker) and read that there should be an express down function on the key fob by pushing the unlock button four times. Mine doesn't seem to work and I'm wondering if that's only optional on some models or if mine has malfunctioned. Also can anyone tell me how to add info to my signature? Thanks in advance

Not on my 2004

This does not work (pressing unlock 4 times) on my '04. I just looked at the manual (also for the first time!), it says that the windows have an express down, which can be stopped by pressing the window switch inside again, or pressing the lock button on the key fob, but nothing about express down using just the key fob - would be a neat feature though!

Is this on the 2007? It's not on my 2006 that I know of.

Page 2-5 in the manual

I knew I wasn't crazy, but you made me second guess myself...after all, I was on the "throne" when I was reading this, and, I don't know, I could have been breathing less than clean air. Anyway, page 2-5 in the 03 manual at the top right says "You can also activate the express down windows by pressing the unlock button four times quickly." Anyone tried this with similar results?

express down windows

This was on some early 03's. GURU799 has it on his 03 but sometime in the 03MY run it was taken away.

That function was disabled before any went to customers. As we were driving the preproduction vehicles, you would accidentally push the button four times and the windows would go down in a rainstorm. Most people do not realize exactly how many times they hit the button and when they are actually in range. This feature seemed to create more issues that benefits. This VW idea just didn't fit.

The VW idea was a very nice addition though in my Turbo beetle. I loved having express down and UP!
