Following the Advise of my fellow SSR folks. I took off the bottom three screws at the bottom of the door. Great, but the door was still locked on the door-top catch. Finally, had to cut the door catch to release, the glove box door. The handle release for the glove box is ok, but had came off, thus could not release the catch, once hooked. Now I need the catch piece for the glove box. Anybody have one?

ARE YOU KIDDING?? I have been looking for this little mechanism since I joined the site. I thought I had located the manufacturer but they deny having any contracts with GM. If anyone knows who made this little bugger, please let us know.

RSSRTOY has the ash tray latches in stock for about $ 8.00. I bought three from him - installed one in about a minute, and it works great.
