I'm very pleased with my redline red SSr but I've noticed a bit of vibration from the front at about 60 mph. The speedometer needle even vibrates a bit. The tach is steady. I've had the wheels rebalanced but still have the same vibration. Does anyone out there notice the same? Any ideas?

The obvious question the dealer will ask is, "When did you notice the vibration"? So I'll ask the same question, when did you notice the vibration? I've just under 4000 miles on my SSR and notice no vibration at any speed, even 120 MPH. Sounds like you might have knocked the front end out of alignment or something came loose? Good luck with getting the problem corrected, no likes a new vehicle with problems.

First area to check would be the tires - a weight knocked off, bad balancing job, a good sized gob of road debris, or, as unlikely as it may seem, a slightly out of round tire. Don't see much of it anymore, but it was not unusual in the 60's and 70's - used to get the tires siped (run on a machine similar to a wheel balancer, with a sharp blade on it - it would knock off the high spots) for any of my performance toys.
Weirdest one I had was on a front winter tire - I had left them outside, one had gone flat, and water had seeped into it. It would be fine at slow speeds, but once centrifugal force moved all the water to one spot, it shook like an off balance washing machine.
I "thought" I had this same issue with my former SSR, but it ended up being a combination of two things.
1) The service department had filled or left filled the tires on my SSR @ 40 PSI. While 30 PSI is the listed amount for the stock tires on the SSR. Returning the tires to 30 PSI (cold) made a HUGE difference.
2) The road. We live near a section of US 50 that "looks smooth". In our mini van it feels smooth, but in the T-Bird and the SSR it will produce a cyclic vibration that could be felt (especially in the SSR). I had the service deparment check the balance on the front wheels, but they were not out of balance (according to them).
I was able to drive the SSR on other sections of US 50 that did not produce the same vibration at all.

At my friend shop, his daughter's Suburban had a vibration. He has a Snap-On tire balancer, he uses a couple of times of month.
He re-balance tires, did'nt work, so he replaced tires, brakes and shocks,still same issue.
Resolution: Tire Balancer was out of calibration.
It was 1st and last time he had trouble with it, he was sure glad it was his daughter's truck. Ever wonder how many bad tire balancers need calibration?

Unsure of problem too.
I have had the wheels checked for balance, but no problems. It is weird. Check for 30# - 32# of pressure max, that can cause some problems. Next step for me is to check to see if the tire is possibly out of round. Rare cases of this happening in the last 10 years, but it is possible.
