Got my wheels refinished.

I got my wheels refinished today by Alloy Wheel Specialists. Some of the other Fanatics have use their services before. I could not be more elated!! I had all four wheels re-done and I paid $320 total. He did an awesome job. Here are a few before & after pics. Only downside is I can't wash her for 2 days! And she's REALLY dirty from all the rain we've been having here in SA.

Once the guy buffed out the curb rash did he have to mask them off and spray paint them silver again? All on-site and without removal of the wheels?

He actually sanded the entire wheel, masked it, covered rotors & brakes, primed it, painted it, then clear coated it. It took about 2 1/2 to 3 hours and he did it in my driveway! And he did not have to remove the wheels.

By the way Doc, I got the transfers yesterday and they look awesome! Now I have to go to Wal-Mart to find a t-shirt to put them on.

Fantastic job on the wheels Mikey. You can't beat it for the price and right in your driveway as well.

First thing to check would be the position of the cap on the wheel. There is a tire valve logo on the backside - it needs to line up with the tire valve.

If that's OK, pop the cap back in tapping it on all sides to center it. Hope that works for you.

Also make sure you have the caps on the right wheel. Front and rear are diffferent, they are marked on the inside.

I noticed this today also when we were having trouble putting the caps back on. Seems to be that the back ones are slightly larger. I did not know about the valve logo on the backside, but now that you mentioned it I did see it back there when I was trying to see if it read which ones went where.

Man, those do look great! I cannot believe that the work was done with the wheels/tires still on the truck. For the money and the convenience, you can't beat it.

wheel refinish

I too had my wheels refinished by Alloy wheel repair. It turned out great, & I had the option of what color. I chose the closest to the silver color of my SSR, so they would match my SSR. They give you your choice of colors.

Sorry no pic's. don't know how to do that.
