My SSR: 19608 Silver BOD 12/20/04 Purchased 11/04/05 Auto/Predator
I3
Purchased the I3 because of its size (about the size of a baseball). It's small size allows me to place it almost anywhere on the windshield without obstructing the view. Pretty much the same as the 320s but without the touch screen (the scroll wheel can be a pain to deal with-but its not that bad). The screen is also smaller but I did not find this a problem since I was able to locate the gps next to my rear view mirror. It's very simple to operate. Runs 4 to 6 hours on batteries. If you want a plain jane point to point navigation, you can't go wrong with the I3.
My SSR: 2005 Redline #19432 Got it 26 July 2005 Born on 12/16/04
I have a Tom Tom. It works very well and I can toss it in the console when I'm not using it. I put it next to the rearview mirror so I can see it fairly well (might work better if I wore my glasses ) I used it on my last trip to IL and it shaved about 100 miles off my trip. I even missed a turn or two and it recomputed the route so I would have to turn around to check the turn.(In some cases) Definitely a man's toy so we'll never have to ask for directions

Touchscreen, suction mount, etc...
Get it at Best Buy.
This is basically the same thing I have but it's hooked up to my 7" Touch Screen from Kenwood. All I have to do to Update is download to the SD card. Kenwood made it with GARMIN and put it out this year.

Garmin 350 size of a deck of cards. Most amazing thing I ever used(other than a VCR).$738 from www.jr.com It's pocketable & portable. I purchased mine in March. They are cheaper now.

I have the Garmin 350. It works great. It gives the street names instead of just turn left or right. It totally independent from the radio. It comes with a charger for the house and a charger for the car using the cigarette lighter. It holds its charge around 3 hrs on its own without using the charger. You can get all updates from Garmin online using a USB connector which is included with the unit. What else can I say. It works great. Go To Epinions.com to search for best prices online. Can purchase for around $600

I just got the NUVI and it is the best I have ever used. Mounts on the console, super fast, its exterior finish matches the dash and I particularly like the lady speaker with the australian accent. She is hot. Even on the console, under the dash no exterior antenna is needed. I highly recommend it. You can buy it at Sams for about 600. Has internal battery good for about 5 hours I think, and you can carry it with you and use as a portable. SD slot allows you to play about recorded music or pictures. Data seems to be very current. It is pretty much idiot proof which is what I need.
