Question Guage Package Installation.

On another thread on this site it says the guage package is available through Chevrolet Parts. Are there existing (from the factory) "hook-ups" already in the SSR, IE: wiring, sending units, sensors, etc., that make the installation of the guage package a simple effort? Or, will you have to have the package installed by a "professional" due to the complicated process of having to install the mechanical portions(sending units and wiring) for the guages to work properly. There's not much too work in under the SSR dash and the sending unit for the transmission temperature guage might involve having to tap and drill the tranny to locate the sensor. Anyway, I was just wondering if GM thought ahead and installed from the factory the necessary hardware to make installing the guage package a simple, painless, bolt-it-right-up, process.

guages

on fullsize trucks if you add an escalade guage cluster the trans temp guage is prewired If gm offers an accessory kit for the ssr you can bet it will be a well engineered kit with minimal difficulty to install
