It looks to me that you were previously asked to contact Run Rod Run (Formerly 89 Rod) in this thread:

Hand controls

He has a hand control setup and has offered his help to you.

Doc... I do not have hand control setup. My setup to very much a foot control setup.
See attach picture.

Doing a hands control setup shouldn't be a problem as just about every major city across the USA has a shop or two that specialize in adaptive driving aids using hands controls.
A hands control setup is very common with those specialize shop compare with my special setup.
Check the phone book or do a Google search for adaptive driving aid in your area.

hand controls

thanks guys, I know it can be done, but with clearances, etc., I'd like to talk to someone who has actually tried it. Had a problem adjusting controls in the van and would like to make the SSR adaptation a little more streamlined if possible.

Irish,
It be nice if any type of driving aid was a streamline process but it just doesn’t work that way simply because of the human factor that involved.
However, you can make the streamline process work if you find a shop that employees good communication skills between shop owner, the workers and yourself.
It takes time so don't rush it.
