Hard saddle bag Keys

Are they a universal key? Will the key from one SSR's hard saddle bags fit another?

I sent my bags out to be covered and they came back with one locked and one unlocked with NO keys to be found!

Question saddle bag keys

IF I recall correctly each of my saddle bags have a different key. However the SSR is tucked away at home today so I can't be sure till tonight.

Is the key code visable or does the lock have to be disassembled?

I'm pretty sure it is on the side and has to be disassembled....easy to take apart..just a phillip screw and a nut. You could take it apart and if you can't find the code just bring tha ctual lock to a locksmith.

Took mine in today, the locksmith had no problems making keys for my saddle bags. Just gave him the top and he made the key. Same lock for both bags.

Before I took it in, I did take the lock off and couldn't find a number. Asked the locksmith, he said typically the number is on the face of the lock.

Thanks for the info. It looks like a trip to the locksmith is in order.
