Exclamation help - my rubber stopper is AWOL

I was working in the roof storage area today and what was there at the beginning was gone, vanished, flown the coop.........at the end of the job. My drivers side rubber stopper for the roof tonneau. If anyone has a spare I can buy can they bring it to Flagstaff. If not, I'll pm BYERS monday and order one.

Isn't it a common rubber stopper like those found under the hood of most any vehicles? I'm only saying that 'cause it looks the same as what under the hood in my Chevy SUV.

Well if you're going to include dealer mark-up, overhead, shipping and handling, and wages for the counterman while he flirts with you... then Yikes, it is.

oh don't worry, checked there about four times. Even pulled out that large black padded piece to look under it (because I had had it out earlier). Again tonite we searched the area in the driveway where I had been parked. Totally vanished

The body shop probably vacuumed out the compartment.

You may want to check the bottom side of the tonneau cover itself where this stopper comes in contact with it. I've heard of these sticking to the bottom side of the cover at times preventing the cover from opening correctly/evenly. You might have one that stuck to the cover and lifted off with it. Worth a look if you haven't already checked there.

Where does this rubber bumper go?

I found one rolling around the lid compartment of my SSR tonight. I could not find the other one.

Thanks,

Jeff

as shown in the attached picture in post 1 (just click on the picture and it will enlarge). It contacts the underside of the roof storage tonneau in the closed position.
There are a number of rubber bumpers under there.

Update - i went to my parts department today. they said it was back ordered and came as a unit with the bolt and goodness knows what else. i didn't ask the price. So they rummaged around in the rubber bumper drawer and came up with a larger one for me. I had to whittle it down on the side the mini tonneau slides by. it will do for now but I will pm Byers and see what he says.
