Help Needed

Back in the summer of 2005 I was visiting the USA from Scotland saw a yellow SSR, Had a test Drive and was hooked and I'd come to fish the gulf of Mexico--who was caught. To cut a long story short 12 weeks later a large box with a new yellow toy arrived here in Glasgow. Now for the help, I don't have a local dealership and I can't figure out how to code the spare Key fob to the SSR. Can anybody help Gordon

Hey Gordon,

First of all, I visited YOUR country (St. Andrews) about 3 years ago and LOVED it!

Secondly, congratulations on your new toy and learning about this forum.

Lastly, here's a good start on your key FOB......CLICK HERE

Welcome ........... bottom line is you need a dealer or access to a GM Programing tool. Took all of about 20 seconds to redo my spare, wish that it would have been more user friendly so as not to require going to a dealer.

Gordon... What part of Glasgow? My Mum & Dad are both from Glasgow and still have family there. Was there last June... I try to visit every year or so. You MUST be turning heads with an SSR in Glasgow!!

Gordon, Try your Vauxhall dealer. Vauxhall translated from English to American is Chevrolet. The Vauxhall (GM) dealer/service manager should jump at the chance to help you with your SSR. My ex-brother in law worked for Vauxhall and he would help Americans in Scotland with there Suburbans. My lovey bride is from Glasgow and we visited the in-laws this past summer. The gas prices must be thrilling over with an SSR to feed.

Welcome aboard Gordon. I bet you will turn a lot of heads with your new toy there. I bet you are very excited. BTW, if you are so inclined You might consider putting your Setting your Setting your pin in the Chevy SSR PIN MAP

This fine fellow English Gent (Fanatic), Robin Large, lives in Aberdeen, Scotalnd U.K. He might be able to suggest someone for you to talk to.
