Put my wipers in the up position on the windshield so I can change the blade and while doing the driver's side, I notice that the door window comes down, as if I was opening the door to get in the vehicle. So I open and close the door, window goes up and it happens again, stays in the lower position until I reopen and close the door again... I did not know that this is such a special for this car!!!
Any one have any clues????????? Tom
I had something similar happen. Whenever the truck got wet, the drivers side window would go up and down randomly and repeatedly that 1/2" or whatever it takes to clear the rubber at the top - which meant that the window refused to close and therefore locking the vehicle was impossible (the alarm would go off). It took a new door sensor and something done to the body computer module to fix...good luck.
BTW, there is a window "retraining" procedure in the owners manual. May want to try that first.

I'm Sorry, The nice Voodoo Doctor told me the Yellow SSR Doll was not a toy........I was just playing with it and didn't mean to put that large needle through it.
Yea, I thought about Halloween also, who knows!!!!
Thanks for the tips, I did not look up in the manual about the window indexing, just did it on my own from what you guys have said in the past, will have to find the proper procedure....
One thing I did notice is that if I lock the doors, it does not do it.....interesting
And the truck was wet today, raining on the way home and sat at work the past two days in the rain uncovered......Later.....................Tom
Well, with the doors locked the window stays in place, but now it seems the horn goes off at will, and I am not hitting the key FOB. So I wonder , is this all related to some sensor, or the BCM????...................................Tom
Ya know, all these little problems with the SSR seem to be following a trend. I work with computers and see this problem with MS Windows all the time. I wonder if Bill G. had some input on the production?

Sounds like I have the same or similar problem that you did. Did the dealer repair in one day, or did they have to order the door sensor? Tom

At a computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated: "If GM had kept up with the technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics:
1. For no reason at all, your car would crash twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines on the road, you would have to buy a new car.
3. Occasionally, executing a manoeuver such as a left-turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, and you would have to reinstall the engine.
4. When your car died on the freeway for no reason, you would just accept this, restart and drive on.
5. Only one person at a time could use the car, unless you bought 'Car95' or 'CarNT', and then added more seats.
6. Apple would make a car powered by the sun, reliable, five times as fast, and twice as easy to drive, but would run on only five per cent of the roads.
7. Oil, water temperature and alternator warning lights would be replaced by a single 'general car default' warning light.
8. New seats would force every-one to have the same size butt.
9. The airbag would say 'Are you sure?' before going off.
10. Occasionally, for no reason, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key, and grabbed the radio antenna.
11. GM would require all car buyers to also purchase a deluxe set of road maps from Rand-McNally (a subsidiary of GM), even though they neither need them nor want them. Trying to delete this option would immediately cause the car's performance to diminish by 50 per cent or more. Moreover, GM would become a target for investigation by the Justice Department.
12. Every time GM introduced a new model, car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.
13. You would press the 'start' button to shut off the engine.

I noticed last night that my wipers interfere with my radio reception and it wasn't the wiper motor. As the wiper approached the top of the windshield the radio reception faded and then returned when the wiper went down. I turned the truck off with the wipers in the up position and the radio reception was still faded.

I have 2 Macs...I can only use them while driving with the top down......Would I still only be able to drive the 5% or would that put me up to 10%
More:
14. Everyone would be able to use your car without you knowing it until the rear hatch was closed.
15. If you weren’t careful where you drove, you could infect other cars.
16. On the good side, Everyone would get a new car every two years.

It took them a few days to figure out the problem and get it fixed. Not sure if ordering the sensor part in contributed to the delay. Also, I never learned if they just reflashed the BCM or replaced it, they discussed both options.
